Griffith Regional Art Gallery and new wine sponsor Dee Vine Estate have teamed up to launch the Art Gallery's 2021 Exhibition program with an evening of culture and the arts from 6pm on Friday, 5February.
The event will officially launch the Art Gallery's 2021 Exhibition and Arts Events brochure – titled restART 2021 –featuring a full run down on all the touring and local exhibitions during the year, as well as public programs including workshops and art classes.
Regional Arts and Museum Manager Ms Raina Savage said, "After a terrible year for the arts in 2020 with lockdowns and cancellations, Griffith Regional Art Gallery is excited to re-stART our arts journey with one of our most exciting exhibition programs yet."
The 2021 program includes a broad range of exhibitions in various mediums from local and national artists including a major portrait prize, as well as a diverse program of workshops, master classes, after school and holiday programs as well as the Dee Vines Sundowners - a program of curator and artist talks sponsored by the winery.
Ms Savage said, "To kick things off in style for 2021 we are offering our local arts patrons something a little special to launch our annual program. There will be live music, delicious canapés and of course fabulous wines from Dee Vine Estate. Patrons can also sign up as Members to enjoy special discounts and invitations to exclusive events. "
Visitors are also invited to check out the awesome carvings and exquisite artworks on display by renowned local artist Hape Kiddle in his powerful exhibition Custodian, the first exhibition in the new program.
