Griffith City Council is proud to support the 2026 NSW Seniors Festival, running from Monday 2 March to Sunday 15 March 2026, celebrating the valuable contributions of older adults with the theme Live life in colour.
A vibrant program of free events has been planned to recognise and celebrate seniors across our community.
Griffith Regional Theatre will host Morning Melodies, with The Great British Songbook on Wednesday 11 March, with morning tea from 10am and the show at 11am. Tickets are $30. Contact the Theatre on 6962 8444 for bookings.
For those seniors keen to get moving, Griffith Regional Aquatic Leisure Centre's Fitness Club is offering free classes throughout the festival on the following days:
- Tuesday 3 March: 10:35am - Gentle exercise
- Thursday 5 March:8am - Gentle Aqua
- Monday 9 March: 8am - Gentle Aqua
- Friday 13 March: 8:30am - Gentle Exercise
For the avid readers, Griffith City Library will host award-winning author Christine Sykes on Friday 13 March at 10am. Christine will discuss her journey from memoir to novel, to stage, including The Tap Cats of the Sunshine Coast. Enjoy morning tea, book sales and signings.
