Griffith Set To Bloom With Five Open Gardens For Spring Fest 2025

Whether you're a passionate green thumb, a casual admirer of nature, or simply seeking a day out in the sunshine, you won't want to miss this year's five Open Gardens.

For one weekend only, Saturday 18 and Sunday 19 October, from 10am to 5pm, visitors are invited to step beyond the front gates and explore five beautifully curated private gardens, each offering its own unique charm. From elegant landscaping and flourishing florals to tranquil retreats and native plantings, every garden tells a story.

This year's featured gardens:

  • Jenny and Richard Fletcher – 39 Crook Road, Griffith
  • Carmen and Paul Favaro (new garden) – 7 Pedley Road, Hanwood
  • Marj and Mick Careri – "Rosewood Park on Stokes", 121 Stokes Road, Hanwood
  • Tori Horder and Lawrence Salvestrin – "Davit Farm", 677 Cashmere Road, Widgelli
  • Emeri De Bortoli – 1 De Bortoli Road, Bilbul

Entry is $8 per garden, per person, payable by cash at the gate or via Eftpos at the Griffith Tourism Hub. Children under 16 enter free. Each garden supports a different charity and many feature delightful extras such as morning and afternoon tea, market stalls, live music, and more.

For a guided experience, hop aboard the Garden Bus Tours, running on: Wednesday 15 October, Saturday 18 October, Sunday 19 October and Wednesday 22 October.

Proudly sponsored by Roy Spagnolo and Associates, each tour visits three gardens and includes a light lunch. Tickets are $60 per person, with children under 16 $30. Bookings are essential.

Griffith Spring Fest 2025 is a celebration of colour, creativity and community and is an opportunity to enjoy Griffith's gardens while supporting local charities.
