Local young people are invited to get cooking, build new skills and connect with others through a series of free hands-on cooking sessions at Piccolo Family Farms.
The Cook and Connect sessions will give young people aged 12 to 24 the opportunity to learn practical cooking skills in a relaxed and social environment, with focaccia and a selection of sweet recipes on the menu.
Two sessions will be held on Wednesday 30 September, with a Junior session for ages 12 to 16 from 10am to 1pm, followed by a Senior session for ages 17 to 24 from 3pm to 6pm.
A dedicated session for young people aged 12 to 24 with additional needs will be held on Tuesday 29 September from 11am to 2pm.
All sessions are free; however, places are limited.
Griffith City Council's Youth Advisor, Tithi Patel encouraged local young people to take advantage of the opportunity.
"Cook and Connect is a great way for young people to learn something new, have fun and meet others in a welcoming environment," Ms Patel said.
"With limited places available, we encourage anyone interested to book early to avoid missing out.
"We have tailored the additional needs session for those who may need a little extra support."
