For a fourth consecutive year, UConn John Dempsey Hospital is on Newsweek's America's Best-in-State Hospitals list.
Newsweek's 2027 list has John Dempsey Hospital among six Connecticut hospitals, and the only one with additional recognition for patient experience, based on exceptional patient satisfaction scores, and patient-reported outcome measurements, new for the 2027 survey, based on standardized, validated patient questionnaires.
The "Best-in-State" rankings evaluate hospitals nationwide on four key areas: quality metrics, reputation among medical professionals, patient experience data, and patient-reported outcomes. This year's list includes 800 U.S. hospitals.
