Labor is delivering better places to play, train and get active across Victoria.
Minister for Community Sport Ros Spence visited Edwards Reserve in South Kingsville to announce up to $100,000 in upgrades.
This site is one of 57 new projects to share in more than $13.9 million from the Local Sports Infrastructure Fund.
The Fund helps communities looking to kickstart pavilion revamps, court reconstructions, sports field upgrades, updated sports lighting, new playgrounds and more.
Other successful projects include up to $500,000 towards a new Youth Space in Koroit that will feature a pump track, upgraded multi-sport court, footpaths, shelters and landscaping.
In Keilor Park, up to $250,000 will go towards lighting up the Keilor Park Athletics Centre with the installation of 200 lux LED lighting around the track and 100 lux LED lighting over the infield soccer pitch.
In Horsham, up to $500,000 will deliver a new pavilion at the Natimuk Bowling Club, replacing their old clubrooms destroyed in January 2026 bushfires.
It will include accessible, female-friendly change spaces and amenities, an office, kitchen and a multipurpose community social room - providing a great new space for the club and community to host more bowls and events.
The Carroll Labor Government has invested more than $24 million in the Victorian Budget 2026/27, to develop community sport infrastructure across the state.
Over two years, more than 330 funded facilities have increased participation by almost 43 percent - over 70,200 new participants.
That's more people of all ages and abilities at a range of facilities from skate parks to netball courts, close to home.
Over 1,170 direct full-time jobs have been supported in the delivery of more than $538 million worth of community sport and active recreation infrastructure across Victoria.
Only Labor is backing fair play, local clubs and local jobs.
