Growing Tasmania's creative industries

Elise Archer,Minister for the Arts

Tasmania's reputation as a vibrant cultural and creative hub is flourishing and the Hodgman Liberal Government recognises the role the industry plays in attracting people to visit, live and work in our State.

That's why we are developing a renewed Cultural and Creative Industries Strategy (2019 and beyond), which has now reached the consultation phase.

Over the next two months Tasmanians will be asked to provide feedback on our cultural and creative industries, and share their ideas about and experiences of this sector.

The renewed Strategy will provide a framework for enhancing and championing the industry, in turn creating jobs and opportunities within the sector and also contributing to the economy through related areas such as retail, tourism and hospitality.

There are a number of ways Tasmanians can contribute to this process, including attending a community forum, completing the survey, or posting on the online discussion board.
