Tasmanian grain growers will next month be provided with expert advice and research insights to guide them through the remainder of the 2019 cropping season and beyond.

The Grains Research and Development Corporation (GRDC) is hosting a regional Grains Research Update in Campbell Town on July 3.

GRDC Grower Relations Manager – South, Randall Wilksch, says the Update at The Grange will see speakers present the latest research findings, advice and recommendations for informing growers' tactical decision-making for improved profitability.

"Tasmania's farming systems are in many cases complex, high production enterprises requiring specialist input and support from a range of sources," Mr Wilksch said.

"Grain production is one component of these farming systems and the annual Campbell Town Grains Research Update plays an important role in extending to growers and advisers the most up-to-date information being generated out of GRDC investments in research and development.

"The forum is also a platform to discuss how the season is shaping up and the cropping constraints and opportunities confronting growers, as well as providing an opportunity for participants to network with fellow farmers, researchers, consultants and other industry experts."
