Hampton Park drink driver

A man has been taken off the road after allegedly being caught drink driving in Hampton Park this evening, Victoria Police say.

Casey Highway Patrol intercepted the driver as he attempted to leave a licenced venue on Hallam Road in Hampton Park about 9pm.

The 38-year-old Hampton man returned an evidentiary breath test reading of 0.176% BAC.

The man’s licence was immediately suspended for 12 months and he had his car impounded for 30 days at a cost of $1005.

He is expected to be charged on summons with drink driving offences.
