Saturday lotto is proudly played across Australia under the brands Gold Lotto, Lotto, TattsLotto and X Lotto, bringing winning moments to players nationwide.
A Hampton tradesman has had the shock of a lifetime after discovering a week-old TattsLotto ticket tucked away in his wallet was worth more than $791,000.
The Melbourne resident held one of the eight division one winning entries nationally in TattsLotto draw 4629, drawn Saturday 29 November 2025. Each division one winning entry pocketed a total prize of $791,600.91.
If the winner had been part of The Lott Members Club and registered his ticket to a player card or online account, he would have already been alerted to his newfound treasure. Instead, we had to wait for him to check his ticket and come forward.
When speaking to us, the gleeful winner admitted he had no idea he'd won division one until he went to replay his ticket.
"Thank you very much! It's all very exciting," he exclaimed.
"It was so unexpected. I had no idea I'd won until I went to replay my weekly ticket at the newsagency.
"It's a bit of a sunny routine I do without thinking, so when the team member said, 'You've got a win that's too big to pay out.'. I just went 'Holy sh**!'.
"I had the ticket sitting in my wallet this whole time. It's scary to think about because I could've easily lost it.
"We've been slowly processing it all, and don't worry, I've taken plenty of pictures of the ticket!"
When asked how he planned to use his prize, the winning man shared that he would be wise with it.
"We'll be doing the sensible thing. You know, talking to an accountant and investing it," he said.
"We'd also love to do an overseas holiday, so I'd say that's on the cards for next year too."
The winning man purchased his ticket from Bluff Road News @ Lotto, 412 Bluff Road, Hampton East.
