SKYCITY Entertainment Group has today announced that local building company Hansen Yuncken has been contracted to deliver the majority of works for the $330m Adelaide Casino Expansion.
Hansen Yuncken who are celebrating 100 years of operations will be responsible for the construction of Adelaide’s most prestigious development along Adelaide’s Riverbank Precinct.
The highly-anticipated Adelaide Casino Expansion will deliver a world-class entertainment precinct in South Australia offering new restaurants, bars, cafes and a luxury hotel and spa.
State Manager, Mark Rosenboom said that Hansen Yuncken has assembled an experienced and highly-qualified local project team to work alongside the SKYCITY team.
"Hansen Yuncken is very pleased to be given the opportunity to partner with SKYCITY on this iconic Adelaide development." Mr Rosenboom said.
"This significant project will continue our long-term relationship with Adelaide Casino having undertaken the first Casino Development in 1985 including a number of subsequent upgrades over the past 30 years".
The redevelopment will bring together up to 1000 construction professionals over the life of the project and create 800 permanent jobs on completion. This highly sophisticated and complex design will see Hansen Yuncken adopt several innovative solutions to manage the construction, logistics, program, quality and project safety. In addition, Hansen Yuncken will work predominately with local contractors and suppliers to construct and fit-out the 12-level development.
"Hansen Yuncken is managing a portfolio of major entertainment developments and upgrades nationally including the $60m Her Majesty’s Theatre Upgrade in Grote Street. Combined, we are undertaking more than $600m of works in the entertainment sector alone".

Construction of the Adelaide Casino Expansion will begin in June 2018 and is scheduled for completion in 2020. ---
