Have a say on Council plans and projects

Community feedback is an important and integral part of Kempsey Shire Council's stakeholder engagement process and helps to inform its strategic planning.

Council currently has a number of significant plans and projects on public exhibition where community members can have their say.

The draft Verge and Eden Street Sporting Complex Masterplan is on public exhibition for comment until close of business Tuesday, 30 April, while feedback on the draft Noise Management Plan and Fly Neighbourly Advice documents for the future use of Kempsey Airport closes on Wednesday, 1 May.

The community is also being encouraged to have a say on the draft Operational Plan and budget that Kempsey Shire Council proposes to deliver in the 2019-20 financial year.

Across 178 action items, the draft Operational Plan includes more than $6.4 million invested into upgrading sealed roads, $3.6 million in bridge replacement work and prioritising the delivery of significant grant funded projects throughout the Shire.

The Long Term Financial Plan and the proposed Fees and Charges for 2019-20 are also on public exhibition.

The documents are available at Council's West Kempsey office or online at https://yoursay.macleay.nsw.gov.au/19-20plans
