Hawkesbury Fest Online engages local community

Hawkesbury Fest successfully went online for the first time this year during Local Government Week from Monday, 3 August to Sunday, 9 August with a great reception from the community.

In keeping with the COVID-19 requirements of the Federal and State Government, and for the safety of the Hawkesbury community, Council adapted the physical event to the new online version of Hawkesbury Fest, which showcased the work Council does in the Hawkesbury.

Events survey

Council hosted the event via Council’s website www.hawkesbury.nsw.gov.au and on the Hawkesbury Events Facebook Page at www.facebook.com/hawkesburyevents The Hawkesbury Events page now has over 8000 followers after the Hawkesbury Fest Online campaign.

Local Government Week – Councils Do

The theme ‘Councils Do’ was echoed throughout the week of online events on Hawkesbury events Facebook with different areas of Council being highlighted including Cultural Services, Economic Development, Parks and Recreation, Community Services, Environment and Sustainability.
