Hazard Reduction burns at Morisset Park and Bolton Point

Hazard reduction burns will go ahead at Morisset Park and Bolton point on Thursday 13 July, weather permitting.

Residents nearby should:

  • Keep doors and windows closed to prevent smoke from entering homes and
  • Keep outdoor furniture under cover to prevent ember burns
  • Ensure pets have a protected area
  • Retract pool covers to prevent ember damage
  • Remove washing from clotheslines
  • When driving slow down, keep windows up and turn headlights on
  • If you have asthma or a lung condition, reduce outdoor activities. If smoke levels are high and if shortness of breath or coughing develops, take your reliever medicine or seek medical advice.
Morisset Park hazard reduction burn

This burn will be south of Morisset Park Av, Morisset Park, from 9am-5pm.

Night crews from the National Parks and Wildlife Service will be onsite to monitor any active fire activity overnight.

Traffic control will in place adjacent to Morisset Park Avenue.

Bolton Point hazard reduction burn

This burn will be at 32 Quigley Road, Bolton Point, from 9am-5pm.

It will be undertaken by Fire and Rescue NSW.
