10 Selfs Point, New Town
The Hobart City Council Planning Authority has approved a development application for partial change to container refund point for 10 Selfs Point, New Town.
The proposal involves converting part of the Council's car park at the corner of Risdon Road and Queens Walk into a container refund point. This will require the removal of four existing parking spaces and the addition of a hard stand area next to the machine. The refund point will operate from 7am to 9pm Monday to Saturday, and 8am to 9pm on Sundays and public holidays, with commercial vehicle access during the same hours. No signage is proposed apart from what is on the machine itself.
Officer level development applications approved between 15 May and 16 June 2025
Between Hobart City Council Planning Authority Committee meetings, the City's Planning Officers are busy reviewing a range of residential and commercial development applications for Hobart.
Since the last meeting, 35 development applications delegated to council officers were also approved while 37 development applications are currently being advertised.
A reminder that the Council has a planner on duty during office hours which members of the community can call through our Customer Services to check to see whether any development or work to a garden will require planning approval.
