In partnership with Services Australia, the department is promoting awareness of scams targeting health professionals to gain access to their PRODA accounts. These credentials are then used by scammers to gain financial benefits they're not entitled to, including Medicare benefits.
The factsheet includes content on best practice protection for health professionals, including what they can look out for to prevent themselves being impacted by a scam.
