Gwydir Shire Council
Gwydir Shire Council Biosecurity Officers will be conducting helicopter inspections along the Gwydir River, from the base of Copeton Dam through to Gravesend. These inspections are part of ongoing efforts to monitor and manage Alligator Weed.
Inspection dates: 23 March - 2 April 2026
These inspections are an important step in protecting our waterways and surrounding environments from invasive species.
