Residents are encouraged to get involved in Clean Up Cairns Month, with community clean-up events taking place across the region every weekend throughout September.
The first event will be held on Saturday 5 September at East Trinity.

- Saturday 5 September – East Trinity (travel by boat from Cairns Marina, bookings essential, limited seats)
- Saturday 12 September – Woodward Park, Edge Hill
- Saturday 12 September – Cairns Esplanade, Cairns North
- Sunday 13 September – Glenoma Park/Freshwater Creek, Brinsmead
- Sunday 13 September – Norman Park to Greenpatch, Gordonvale
- Saturday 19 September – Rotary Park/Babinda Creek, Babinda
- Sunday 20 September – Cairns CBD
- Saturday 26 September – Moody Creek, Manoora
- Saturday 26 September – Yorkeys Knob beach
- Sunday 27 September – Lily Creek, Cairns
Volunteers should wear enclosed footwear, bring sun protection and drinking water.
Clean-up kits and gloves will be provided.
