Campaspe Shire Council is encouraging the community to play a vital role in protecting the enchanting Wonderland on the Murray Sand Sculpture Trail this summer. The delightful trail open until 9 March, features nine intricately crafted sand sculpture installations that reimagine Lewis Carroll's timeless tale of Alice in Wonderland.

Council is also proud to partner with Boys to the Bush, an organisation dedicated to championing young men through early intervention, mentoring, and community engagement. Boys to the Bush will conduct daily audits of sculptures, fencing, and signage, ensuring each piece of art is protected and celebrated.

Campaspe Shire Mayor, Cr Daniel Mackrell commended the community partnership and extended gratitude to the young men.

"It's a great way for young men to contribute to their community while helping protect something special.

"By working together and with the support of the community and Boys to the Bush, we can keep Wonderland on the Murray a truly magical experience for all," he said.

Being built with a special sculpting technique utilising wet sand, the sculptures are designed to be structurally sound. However, if you notice any damage to the sculptures, fencing, or signage, please report it online via Council's website. There is also an option to upload a photo of any damage. Every report helps us preserve the magic.

"These stunning creations are a highlight for visitors and locals alike, and your help ensures they remain a source of wonder for everyone," he said.
