The Property Council of Australia's senior policy and communications adviser in Queensland, Henry Pike, has been pre-selected as the LNP candidate for the seat of Redlands for the Queensland state election in November 2020.
Henry has advised he will resign his staff position with the Property Council's Queensland division to campaign for the election.
The Property Council has agreed to engage Henry as a consultant on a month-by-month basis to undertake a number of member-facing projects.
The Property Council is a steadfastly politically neutral representative of our industry and we have put in place a clear management framework during this period to avoid any actual, potential or perceived conflicts of interest.
His consulting work will not involve any aspect of the Property Council's election- related advocacy work.
We congratulate Henry on his successful pre-selection and extend our best wishes for his candidature at the upcoming state election.
