Heritage Bank launches novel charity campaign

Heritage Bank

Heritage Bank offers Parramatta and Castle Hill residents the chance to donate up to  $1500 to a local charity through “repay it forward” campaign .

Anyone who takes out a loan with Heritage Bank at Parramatta or Castle Hill  before the end of July will make  a positive difference in their community by seeing up to $1500 donated to a local charity – at no cost to them.

Heritage Bank CEO Peter Lock today launched the “repay it forward” campaign, which will be  available exclusively for customers taking out a home loan or personal loan at the bank’s  Parramatta and Castle Hill branches.

When new borrowers make their first loan repayment, Heritage will donate $1,500 for a home  loan and up to $500 for personal loans to a charity or community group they choose.

Mr Lock said the campaign was a fantastic way for people to give a helping hand to deserving groups working in the local community, while enjoying the benefits of a great loan deal from  Heritage.

“Heritage Bank is passionate about helping people. That’s not only the members who bank with  us but also the people who live in the communities we serve,” Mr Lock said.

“This initiative takes the concept of paying it forward to a whole new level.

“The idea is simple – you take out a home loan with Heritage, and when you make your first  repayment we’ll donate $1500 to a worthy community organisation in Parramatta or Castle Hill that you  select.

“Take out a personal loan, and we’ll donate up to $500.

“You often hear other banks talking about being community-focussed, but we’re not just talking  about it, we’re putting our money where our mouth is.

“We’re giving people the chance to see their loan making a difference by assisting a local charity group that will benefit financially, thanks to Heritage.”

People who take out loans from Heritage’s Parramatta Branch will be able to choose for their  donation to go to locally-based groups Kari, Kids West and Heart Kids, or they can choose  OzHarvest or the Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation.

People who take out loans from Heritage’s Castle Hill branch will be able to choose for their donation to go to locally-based groups Kids with Cancer, Castle Hill Public School or Foster Care Angels, or they can choose OzHarvest or the Heritage Bank Charitable Foundation.

To be eligible, borrowers must apply for their loan between 21 May and 31 July this year at  Heritage’s Castle Hill or Parramatta branches, and have the loan amount disbursed by 30  September.
