Heroin, ice seized; man charged - Canley Vale

A man has been charged with drug supply after heroin and ice, worth almost $30,000, was seized in Sydney's west yesterday.

About 8.45pm (Monday 30 March 2020), officers from Fairfield City Police Area Command stopped a BMW X5 on Fraser Road, Canley Vale, and spoke with the 48-year-old man driving.

When police searched the vehicle, they seized more than 24g of heroin, almost 20g of methylamphetamine (ice) and $1365 cash allegedly concealed in a fast food bag.

The estimated potential street value of the drugs seized is almost $30,000.

The man, from Cabramatta, was arrested and taken to Fairfield Police Station.

He was charged with two counts of supply prohibited drug (indictable quantity), two counts of possess prohibited drug, and deal with property proceeds of crime.

He was refused bail to appear at Liverpool Local Court today (Tuesday 31 March 2020).
