High range drink driving, Hope Island

Police have charged a 36-year-old Coomera woman after allegedly being caught just over seven times the legal limit during a breath test at Hope Island last Wednesday.

Around 7pm on March 23, police were called to a carpark at a shopping complex at Masthead Way after reports of a Nissan X-trail being driven by a woman had struck two parked cars.

The woman returned an official breath test reading of 0.379%

The woman's licence was immediately suspended and she has been charged with a high range drink driving offences of did drive under influence of liquor.

She is due to face Southport Magistrates Court on April 4.
