On May 28 police were conducting mobile patrols along the Burnett Highway when they observed a black BMW being driven at high speed around 4.50pm.

Today being Fatality Free Friday police would like to remind all road users about the importance of driving responsibly and avoiding the fatal five of speeding, distraction, drink driving, fatigue, and failure to wear seatbelts.
Superintendent Janelle Andrews from the Road Policing and Regional Support Command said speeds like this one are unacceptable and puts all road users at risk.
"Every decision you make behind the wheel could affect you or the lives of other people on our roads.
"No family should have to go through the pain of losing a loved one through road trauma.
"Mobile patrols like these are about keeping our roads safe for all road users and motorists can expect we will be anywhere at any time," said Superintendent Andrews.
The Queensland Police Service is committed to reducing the number of lives lost on our roads.
Data shows that serious crashes can be significantly reduced when drivers recognise and avoid the 'Fatal Five' behaviours: speeding, drink and drug driving, not wearing seatbelts, fatigue and distraction.
