Hobsons Bay Community Grants program

Applications for the 2021 Hobsons Bay Community Grants program are now open.

The Hobsons Bay Community Grants Program supports local not-for-profit groups and clubs, networks and community organisations to deliver diverse programs and projects in our community.

Grants are intended to assist to: build capacity, help with expenses, provide equipment, support services, grow initiatives, and enable new ideas.

Applications are encouraged from local clubs, community groups and organisations, particularly those who need assistance to continue, adapt, build resilience and engage through the COVID-19 pandemic.

A total fund of $308,000 is allocated to the program, including a $30,000 contribution from Toyota Australia. Applications for the 2021 Community Grants Program close 30 June, and grants will be distributed from August 2020.

Funding is available in four categories:

  • Small expenses ($500)
  • Toyota equipment and resources ($1,000)
  • Vibrant community project ($5,000) and
  • Invested together project ($10,000 over two years).

Council is supporting a rapid application, assessment and funding process, with applications welcome until 30 June 2020, and funds to successful applicants able to be processed in August 2020. Project acquittal deadlines have some flexibility to support changes that make occur due to ongoing or unexpected COVID-19 impacts.
