Home invasion, shot fired in Shalvey

Investigations are underway following a home invasion at Shalvey yesterday where a shot was fired, NSW Police say.

Police were told about 10pm today, four men – three described as being of Caucasian appearance, and one of Pacific Islander / Maori appearance – forced their way into a home on Piccolo Way.

In the home at the time were four residents – a 25-year-old man, a 9-year-old girl, a 45-year-old woman and a 51-year-old man.

The four men forced the 51-year-old male to the ground and one fired a shot into a television set, before they took the car keys to a blue Holden Commodore at the location.

Two men drove away in the Commodore, which was found burnt out a short time later in Oakhurst.

Police from Mount Druitt Local Area Command were notified of the incident and established crime scenes at the home and at Oakhurst.

Investigations are underway.

The incident is believed to be targeted.
