Detectives are investigating the death of a man in Annerley this morning.
Officers were called to Junction Terrace in Annerley shortly before midnight following reports of an assault.
On arrival, a man was discovered on the footpath with life threatening injuries and despite efforts from emergency services, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
A woman is currently assisting police with their enquiries.
A crime scene has been declared and specialist officers will be continuing to work at the site throughout the day.
