Homicide Squad investigate St Albans death

Police have made several arrests following the death of a male in St Albans early this morning.

The yet to be formally identified teenager was found injured in Regan Street by police, near the Keilor Plains railway station, on Sunday 22 December shortly after 1.30am.

Emergency services responded to assist the injured male however sadly he died at the scene.

The circumstances surrounding the death are still being established however it is believed he was assaulted during an affray between two groups of youths in an area nearby shortly before he was found.

A crime scene was set up overnight and the Homicide Squad is investigating.

The teenagers in custody are currently assisting police with their enquiries.
