A 19-year-old man has been charged following an alleged hooning incident in Swanbank last month where a pedestrian was injured.
Police will allege a blue Ford Falcon was driving dangerously on Newhill Drive around 11.50pm on May 6 during an illegal hooning meet.
A pedestrian, a 17-year-old boy, was allegedly struck by the vehicle during the event.
He was transported to hospital with serious but non-life-threatening injuries.
On May 26, police located the blue Ford Falcon at a Chambers Flat address. The vehicle had been partially dismantled.
It was towed for forensic examination.
The driver was located and arrested on May 31.
The 19-year-old Rochedale man was charged with one count each of dangerous operation of a vehicle causing grievous bodily harm, damaging evidence with intent, participating in group activities for racing, burn out or other hooning offences and driver fail to remain at incident and render assistance.
He is due before Ipswich Magistrates Court today, June 1.
Another 17-year-old boy was dealt with under provisions under the Youth Justice Act in relation to hooning offences.
Investigations into the hooning event are continuing.
