Hoons arrested for criminal damage

Police have arrested two men after a reserve in Glenroy was damaged overnight.

Officers from Fawkner Uniform supported by Fawkner Highway Patrol were called to Wallace Reserve off Justin Avenue just after midnight following reports of two cars doing burnouts in the reserve.

Police were quickly on scene and arrested a 19-year-old man from Coburg and an 18-year-old man from Hadfield.

Both vehicles, Toyota utes, were impounded by police and the drivers are facing towing costs of $896.

The men have been interviewed for criminal damage, trespass, drive in manner dangerous and were released pending summons.
