Hoons Caught Out By PolAir At Edinburgh

A driver will face court after the police helicopter detected him doing burnouts at Edinburgh last night.

At 9.20pm on Friday 17 April, PolAir was conducting an aerial patrol of the northern suburbs when officers observed a number of vehicles congregated on Kaurna Avenue, Edinburgh.

Police will allege a Ford sedan was captured by the aircrew conducting a burnout on the road. Local patrols were directed to the area and intercepted the vehicle at the scene.

The driver, an 18‑year‑old man from Davoren Park, was reported for misuse of a motor vehicle. He will be summonsed to appear in court at a later date.

His Ford sedan was impounded for 28 days.

Two other vehicles were defected and their drivers issued with expiation notices.
