Hoppers Crossing service station ram raid

Wyndham Crime Investigation Unit detectives are investigating a ram raid in Hoppers Crossing early this morning.

A male offender crashed a Toyota HiAce van through the front windows of an Old Geelong Road service station about 3.50am.

The thief has stolen a number of cigarette packets before fleeing.

Emergency services located the van burnt out at the corner of Steamer and Blazon roads in Tarneit about 4.30am.

The man is perceived to be Caucasian in appearance with a solid build.

He was wearing a black and white jumper with white writing on the sleeve, blue face covering, black pants and red gloves.
