House fire at Plympton Park, South Australia

Fire Cause Investigators have been called in, after a fire destroyed a home at Plympton Park overnight.

Just before 2am on Monday 29 October, police and fire crews were called to Shakespeare Avenue following reports of smoke coming from a home.

On arrival one house was fully engulfed, with the fire already spreading to the neighbouring house.

The fires were eventually controlled, but not before one home was destroyed in the blaze and the second house sustained substantial damage.

Fortunately there were no reported injuries, a family living in one of the homes managed to escape before the fire took hold.

The fire is not believed to be suspicious, however fire cause investigators will be attending this morning to examine the scene.

Anyone with information on the incident is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000.
