House fire at Seaton, South Australia

Police are investigating a suspicious house fire at Seaton overnight.

Emergency services responded to reports of smoke coming from the rear of a property in Matthews Avenue, just after 11.30pm on Thursday 31 January.

On arrival, the fire which appeared to have started in a rear room, was well underway. No one was inside the premises however neighbours were quickly evacuated from their home before fire crews brought the blaze under control. No injuries were reported however the property was completely destroyed.

Fire cause investigators attended the scene this morning and believe the fire was deliberately lit.
