How To Keep Up To Date With Weather Info

MidCoast Council

As the forecasted weather of heavy rain moves over the region, MidCoast Council has urged all residents to take necessary precautions.

One of the most important messages to remember is not to drive through flood water.

There are several methods of keeping up to date with the latest weather information.

You can listen to ABC radio which is the national emergency broadcaster, download the Hazards Near Me app, check for road closures at www.livetraffic.com and if you need emergency assistance call the SES on 132 500.

In the Taree and Forster region the ABC frequency is 756AM and in the Gloucester region tune into 100.9FM.

Council urges all residents to adhere to instructions provided and echoes the SES message of "If it is flooded, forget it."
