Every year, we review our results to identify our key areas of high performance, and areas of focus for improvement. From our 2024 results, we identified that we were performing well in questions about having information explained in a way patients could understand, being involved in decisions about care and treatment and being given enough notice about when discharge would be. We also saw improvements in performance in questions around staffing levels, following recruitment of nurses and work around planning and communication about workloads over the past year.

Areas we are focusing on making improvements in over the next year include discharge planning and ensuring that care and discharge plans are communicated clearly to patients. We are also working on better involving unpaid carers in care and treatment planning and discharge discussions.

Completing the survey enables us to identify what is going well and where we should focus actions to make improvements to patient experience, so we would encourage all patients who are invited to take part in the survey to complete this with their feedback.
