As fruit begins to ripen during summer, it's important to keep an eye out for the Queensland Fruit Fly (QFF) and take the necessary steps to manage and help stop the spread of this incredibly destructive agricultural pest.

The presence of QFF in our Shire is not only problematic for our backyard harvest, but presents a significant threat to our commercial operators within the region. We all have a role to play in the control of QFF. Understanding the threat and taking the necessary steps to educate yourself is crucial to protecting our horticulture industry.
