Image of arson suspect released in Adelaide

Police have released an image of a man they are seeking in connection with an arson in the Adelaide CBD on Friday.

Just before 9.30am on Friday 11 October, police and fire crews were called to a disused carpark in Ranelagh Alley after a fire was started underneath a stairwell on the ground floor. Fire crews quickly extinguished the blaze before it could spread.

Forensic crime scene investigators attended along with Eastern District CIB and determined that the fire had been deliberately lit.

A review of CCTV showed a man loitering in the carpark immediately before the fire had started.

An image of the man has been released in a bid to identify him.

Anyone who recognises the man or has information that may assist the investigation is asked to contact Crime Stoppers on 1800 333 000 or online at www.crimestopperssa.com.au/
