Image released over assault at fast food store in Liverpool

Police investigating an assault in Sydney’s south-west overnight have released an image in an appeal for public assistance, NSW Police say.

Just before 1am (Saturday 25 August 2018), a man approached the counter of a fast food store on Orange Grove Road, Liverpool, before he repeatedly assaulted an employee.

The employee, a 20-year-old man, suffered a head injury and was taken to Liverpool Hospital in a stable condition.

The man fled the scene in a white van.

Officers from Liverpool City Police Area Command commenced an investigation.

Investigators have released an image of a man who may be able to assist with their inquiries.

He has been described as being of Pacific Islander/Maori appearance, aged in his mid-20s, of a large build, with short dark hair and a ‘rat’s tail’ hairstyle. He is depicted in the footage wearing a grey hooded jumper and black tracksuit pants.
