Improving Heritage Spaces in Niagara Region

JORDAN, Ontario - May 23, 2019

The Government of Canada is committed to supporting the creation and renovation of cultural spaces to allow better access to the arts and heritage for everyone.

Mr. Vance Badawey, Member of Parliament (Niagara Centre) announced $1 million in support for the Lincoln Museum and Cultural Centre's renovation project today. The announcement was made on behalf of the Honorable Pablo Rodriguez, Minister of Canadian Heritage and Multiculturalism. The Honourable Peter Harder, Senator and Government Representative in the Senate, also attended the announcement.

The funding, provided through the Canada Cultural Spaces Fund, will support the redevelopment and expansion of the Jordan Historical Museum of the Twenty.

Once completed, the museum will be able to accommodate on-site collections storage and artifact processing space, as well as diversified and expanded curatorial and exhibition activities.
