Sunraysia residents will be able to gain first-hand insights into the inspiration and work that goes into writing a successful crime novel when author Geoff Parkes visits the Mildura Library this month.
Geoff will be in Mildura as part of his tour of regional Victoria promoting his latest crime novel - The First Law of the Bush - on Thursday 26 February, at 11am.
Councillor for Community Health, Wellbeing Troy Bailey said the visit was an exciting opportunity for local residents to gain insight into the author's latest book and his creative process.
"This is a great opportunity to not only learn about what's involved in writing a successful crime novel, but to hear Geoff talk about his writing journey and ask any questions along the way," Cr Bailey said.
"Author visits to our Libraries inspire future writers to turn ideas into words. They also encourage people to pick up a book and lose themselves in new worlds and stories.
"It's also a great opportunity to purchase signed copies of Geoff's crime novels."
