A man has been charged following investigations into an indecent assault at Bondi Junction Railway Station yesterday, NSW Police say.
Shortly after 5pm today, a 34-year-old woman was on the escalator that leads to the bus interchange at the top of the station.
While travelling on the escalator it’s alleged a man, who was standing behind her on the escalator, indecently assaulted the woman.
Once she reached the top of the escalator she reported the matter to officers from the Police Transport Command who was at the station conducting an operation.
The 45-year-old man was arrested and taken to Waverley Police Station where he was charged with indecent assault.
He was refused bail and will appear in Parramatta Bail Court tomorrow.
