Information Sought regarding two robberies of teenagers, WA

Joondalup Detectives are currently investigating two robbery offences that occurred in Wangara on Saturday 11 February 2017.

The first incident occurred between 3:30am and 4am when four teenagers were walking home from a school ball after party in Wangara. As the teenagers walked east down Berriman Drive they noticed a group of three males following them. One of the four teenagers has stopped to talk to the group, while his friends continued walking along Berriman Drive, WA Police say.

The three males threatened the victim while stealing his wallet, phone, and gold chain. The victim was then punched in the jaw before being told to catch up to his friends.

The offenders are described as being dark skinned and approximately 20 years of age. One of the men was wearing a flannelette shirt and another wore a baseball cap. It is believed that they were driving a small silver hatchback, possibly a Mitsubish Mirage.

The second incident occurred at approximately 4am when two teenagers were walking on Wanneroo Road after leaving an after school ball party in Wangara. The teenagers were walking south near Windsor Road when they saw three males at a business on the other side of the road. Two of the males approached the victims and made threats while stealing their phones, wallets and cash.

The offenders are described as dark skinned and approximately 20 years of age. One of the men had his hair in dreadlocks.

Detectives would like anyone with information in relation to these offences to call Crime Stoppers.
