Ingle Farm hotel robbery

Police are investigating after a man robbed an Ingle Farm hotel late last night.

About 11.45pm on Thursday 2 November, police were called to a hotel on Montague Road following reports of an aggravated robbery.

A man allegedly entered the gaming room of the hotel armed with a machete and threatened staff. He stole a large amount of money from the safe and the register before leaving the area on foot. He was last seen heading east towards Roopena Street.

Fortunately, no one was physically injured as a result of the incident.

PD Edge and his handler were called in to assist with the search for the suspect but were unable to locate him.

The suspect is described as being about 178cm tall, with a heavy build. He was wearing a dark coloured tracksuit, black full-face balaclava, black gloves, 'Nike' sneakers and he was carrying a large black bag.
