Inquiries commence after bones located in Grafton

Police are investigating the discovery of skeletal remains in the state’s Northern Rivers region, NSW Police say.

Officers attached to Coffs/Clarence Local Area Command were called to a construction site on Pound Street, Grafton, about midday on Tuesday 6 February 2018, after workers on the site discovered some bones.

A crime scene was established and inquiries have commenced.

The bones will undergo examination by a forensic specialist to assist in determining whether or not the remains are human.

Police are urging anyone with information in relation to this incident to call Crime Stoppers.
