Inquiries continue after aggravated break-in at Smithfield granny flat

Inquiries are continuing after an aggravated break-in at a Smithfield granny flat this morning.

About 3am (Saturday 6 July 2019), two males have forced their into the flat which is at the rear of a home on The Horsley Drive, near the Cumberland Highway.

One of the males was armed with a knife and the other had a firearm, believed to be a handgun.

They have threatened the two occupants of the granny flat before taking some personal property.

The pair left the building in an unknown direction.

The males had their faces covered during the break-in.
