Insurers To Stand Up Insurance Hub In Port Pirie

Insurers will visit Port Pirie in coming weeks to meet with policyholders impacted by severe storms that hit the region on 22 November 2025.

Hosted by the Insurance Council of Australia (ICA), the consultations will provide insurance customers with the opportunity to meet one-on-one with representatives from several insurers, giving locals an additional avenue to discuss their existing claim or lodge a new one.

While some insurers have already established a presence on-the-ground in Port Pirie, the ICA acknowledges the impact that extreme weather can have on small communities and insurers remain committed to supporting impacted policyholders.

Details of the consultations are below:

  • Date: Tuesday, 16 December and Wednesday, 17 December 2025
  • Location: Royal Port Pirie Yacht Club - 61 Main Road, Solomontown, SA 5540
  • Time: 9:00am to 5:00pm

ICA representatives will also be present and able to assist with general information on the claims process, dispute resolution, and other useful insurance-related information to assist with the claims and recovery process.

Registrations for the Insurance Hub are strongly recommended. Bookings can be made on the ICA website here.

Quotes attributable to ICA Director of Mitigation and Extreme Weather Response, Liam Walter:

The severe storm that impacted the Port Pirie region caused widespread damage with insurers already receiving more than 1400 claims to date.

Insurance hubs provide an opportunity for impacted locals to understand more about the claims process, as well as meet with a representative of their insurer to discuss their claim.

We encourage anyone impacted to make an appointment to speak with their insurer.
