In massive news for BASSINTHEGRASS fans, American rapper and singer Macklemore will take to the stage at the Territory's largest music festival next year.

BASSINTHEGRASS returns to Darwin's iconic Mindil Beach on Saturday, 18 May 2024, and tickets are on sale now.

With worldwide hits including 'Thrift Shop', 'Same Love' and 'Good Old Days' under his belt, Macklemore is a multi-award-winning artist, counting four Grammy Awards among his wins. BASSINTHEGRASS is the only music festival he will perform at during his limited tour of Australia and New Zealand in 2024.

Macklemore is the first artist to be announced for BASSINTHEGRASS 2024, with the full line-up to be revealed later this month. Next year's BASSINTHEGRASS will feature some exciting new offerings, including a range of new premium packages to take the BASSINTHEGRASS experience to the next level.

The Terrace provides an exclusive hosted experience on a raised platform close to the stage; Oasis offers close side-of-stage viewing under the trees; ReFresh is a place to take a breather and beat the queues.

BASSINTHEGRASS, delivered by the Northern Territory Government's Northern Territory Major Events Company, has continued to grow and evolve over the years, and is now a must on Australia's national music festival calendar.

Quotes attributed to Chief Minister and Minister for Major Events, Natasha Fyles:

"Macklemore is only playing a few shows in Australia and New Zealand, and to secure him for BASSINTHEGRASS is incredible. BASSINTHEGRASS will give Territorians and visiting music lovers the chance to see a huge international act as part of another stellar festival line-up.

"With a wide range of artists every year, and a stunning beachside location, BASS is the perfect reason for people down south to escape the cooler weather and head north. Once here, they enjoy hours of quality music and the holiday of a lifetime. This year BASSINTHEGRASS attracted almost 4000 people from interstate, which is great news for our economy and a range of industries.

"BASSINTHEGRASS continues to evolve each year, and 2024 is set to be another one to remember, with a swag of new experiences!"
