The Strong Peoples-Strong Country program is a cultural well-being framework that Traditional Owners have developed in order to identify what's important to them in the Reef and to be able to monitor the health of the Reef and of the people. Traditional Owners have a cultural well-being, holistic approach to monitoring the Reef and to identifying what's important to them beyond the physical Reef, whether it's culture, language or people.

Kathy and Yodie explain the importance of the community-based researcher role in not just collecting and inputting data but analysing it against existing indicators and values. Kathy, proudly represents the next generation of young people taking responsibility for Country. in this video you'll see how both Kathy and Yodie are strongly connected to Country and fully committed to preserving Wuthathi culture through the Strong Peoples-Strong Country pilot project.
