Investigation continues into dirt bike stabbing at Albury

Detectives have issued a photograph as part of a re-appeal into an alleged stabbing in Albury earlier this year.

Just after 4pm on Thursday 16 January 2020, police were called to Alemein Avenue, North Albury, following an assault.

Officers from Murray River Police District attended and found a 56-year-old man with a wound to his hand.

He was taken to Albury Hospital where he underwent surgery.

Police have been told the man was wounded by a person riding an unregistered yellow trail bike.

As inquiries continue, detectives have released a photograph of three men who may be able to assist with inquiries.

The first man is described as having a dark complexion and was riding a yellow Suzuki RM dirt bike or similar, with a loud exhaust.

The other two men were on a 'stripped down' motor scooter.

All three were wearing face coverings at the time of the alleged incident.

The men were last seen riding towards Logan Road and prior to the incident had been riding around the Alamein Avenue area.

Anyone with information about this incident is urged to contact Crime Stoppers: 1800 333 000 or https://nsw.crimestoppers.com.au. Information is treated in strict confidence.
